Among the many places of faith in Tuscany, Siena takes up a very special role. In the city of St. Catherine of Siena, also Bernardine of Siena and Saint Ansano have left traces of their spirituality that make Siena an important destination in religious tourism.

For the visit of Siena you can choose between a Marian trail which includes among others the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the Marian testimonies of Piazza del Campo and the old Hospital of Santa Maria della Scala, an itinerary dedicated to Saint Catherine of Siena (Basilica of San Domenico, Fontebranda fountain and House of Saint Catherine) or a religious-artistic itinerary which focusses on the Duomo, the Baptistery and the Cathedral Museum with works by Duccio di Buoninsegna, Giovanni Pisano, Donatello and Jacopo della Quercia.
