Our tour begins with the archaeological museum. The collection housed here is one of the most important of its kind in Tuscany and impressively illustrates the development of Chiusi from the Villanonova-culture to the Lombard period. A special highlight is the subsequent visit in underground museum "Città sotterranea", opened in 2005, which allows us to learn the signs and sounds of the Etruscan language based on impressively placed, labeled urns. At the end of the museum, a well with a large water reservoir shows the high technical skill of this early culture. The entrance to the archaeological museum includes admission to the Etruscan Pellegrina tomb, which is located outside the city center and can be visited at the end of the guided tour.
