walking tour

Average duration 1.5
The garden of Villa Garzoni in Collodi is a typical example of a Tuscan garden in the transition between Mannerism and the Baroque. In addition to a parterre de broderie with a distinctly French taste, there are also numerous statues that recall Greco-Roman antiquity, a cave, a labyrinth, water games and figures of fascinating esoteric symbolism.
After a brief introduction to the history of the Tuscan garden, our guide will show you the parterre de broderie, the Grotta di Nettuno, the Avenue of the Emperors, the extraordinary water staircase, the Avenue of the Camellias, the labyrinth and the green theater. At the end of the walk inside the Garzoni garden you can also visit the Collodi Butterfly House, the butterfly house, where you can admire hundreds of butterflies coming from all over the world in their natural habitat.
