In the last two hunderd years, the area of Bolgheri has inspired poets, wine makers and travelers alike. Bolgheri's magnificent cypress alley was immortalized in a poem written by Giosuè Carducci in 1886 and Mario Incisa della Rochetta revolutionized here the Italian wine production with his worldwide admired Sassicaia.

As in Carducci's poem, we begin our tour in front of the small temple of San Guido and follow the majestic avenue of 'cypress trees in a double row' to Bolgheri. We continue on the Costa Etrusca wine road that connects Bolgheri to Castagneto Carducci and visit a winery to taste some local wines. Lunch break. In the afternoon, guided tour of Bolgheri with the possibility of tasting more wines in a famous wine shop.
