APUAN ALPS - Guided Tours

The following itineraries are only a part of what we can offer to friends of hiking and naturalistic excursions. We take great pride in assisting groups and individual travelers who are interested in the beauty of the Tuscan landscape and its flora and fauna. All tours were designed by our environmental excursion experts and are always led by our own specialist guides. Designed as single modules, every half- or full day tour can be easily combined with other itineraries. Tailor-made tours on request. We recommend good hiking shoes.
Apuan Alps:
Although situated close to the sea and with peaks not particularly high, the mountain chain of this national park has been labeled "Alps" only because its special geomorphology. The beauty of the panorama is unique. Consisting primarily of lime stone is the reason for the formation of "karst" with spectacular grottos and breathtaking gorges.
Carrara - hiking - environmental excursion guides Carrara

The Apuan Alps are world-famous for their „white gold", the Carrara marble. High above Carrara, we explore the fascinating world of marble in a working quarry. Here, nature mingles with technique. A part of our hiking trail runs along the highest marble road of Carrara. Over the open countryside and through the woods finally we reach an elevation of 1469 meters where we enjoy a stunning view of the Tuscan coastline, the Mediterranean sea and the marble quarries.
