CLASSICAL TOUR: Livorno, home town of Mascagni, Modigliani and the painters of the macchiaioli school is basically a town founded on water. Its sea port, the second largest in Italy has made Livorno a crossroad of cultures.

Our guided walking tour starts with a visit to the so called "Venezia" district, an area caracterized by many waterways and small bridges. After this you will see the churches of the most important non catholic religious communities and you will pass over Europe's largest bridge, a square build over the water! The tour finishes with a stroll along the beautifull sea promenade with its amazing liberty villas and old palazzi where famous people from all over Europe lived in the past.

LIVORNO BY BOAT: In Livorno the water arrives right into the town center, the so called "Venezia" district, caracterized by numerous canals which are particularly enchanting on summer evenings.

On a comfortable boat you will pass through the Venezia district you where our guide shows you the traces of the mannifold foreign communities (greek, turkish, spanish, portuguese, dutch, flamish, french and english) which have built the town and have enriched its cultural life. After the 50 minute-long boat trip you will walk to the nearby Medici fortress from where you can oversee the whole town.
